Methodology

  • We start from citizenship-by-descent rulings published in public Italian case-law repositories, collected daily by our newsroom.
  • Duplicates and unrelated matters are removed; duration is the gap between the year the case was filed and the ruling date.
  • Only courts with at least 8 timed cases enter the ranking — below that the median is not reliable.
  • Note: the sample reflects published rulings, not every lawsuit filed. Use it as a reference, not as a forecast for your case.
